Charles E.Frisby,89, of Hwy 191, West Liberty, KY., passed away Monday, May 28, 2018 in the Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY, after an extended illness. He was born in Columbia, Ohio, August 9, 1928 a son of the late Ernie and Bertha Lyons Frisby. He work as a autobody repairman, and logger, running his own sawmill. He was a Korean Army Veteran. He was preceded in death by son-in-law, Gary Gibson, granddaughter, Melissa Sue Frisby, two sisters, Juanita Roberts, Gertrude Carpenter and brother, Roger Frisby.
Surviving is one daughter, Melinda Day (Joe), West Liberty, KY. Two sons, Jackie Frisby (LeVena), Salyersville, KY., Harry Frisby (Linda) of West Liberty, KY. Two stepsons, Scott Wilder (Renea) Cannel City, KY, and
Timmy Wilder (Frankie) of West Liberty, KY. One step daughter, Cynthia Benton of Morehead, KY. Eleven grandchildren and twelve great-grandchildren. Several nieces and nephews.
Funeral service will be 11;30am, Thursday, May 31, 2018 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Harry Frisby and Bro.Mike Frisby officiating. Burial at Flatwoods Cemetery, Woodsbend, KY, with Military honors conducted by the Morgan County DAV Chapter # 132. Visitation after 6:00pm, Wednesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
Pallbearers will be, Barry Frisby, Bobby Phipps, Larkin Phipps, Jamie Frisby, Josh Frisby, Edgar King and Joe Day.
