Charles Jr Tharp

Charles Jr Tharp, age 87, of Hwy 172, West Liberty, Kentucky passed away Sunday, October 14, 2018 at Morgan Co. ARH., West Liberty, Kentucky after an extended illness. Born March 1, 1931 in Jackson, Kentucky. He was a member of the Wells Union Church, West Liberty, Kentucky and a retired stone mason.

Surviving is three sons, Jimmie & Sharon Tharp, Charles & Mary Tharp, of West Liberty, Kentucky, Eddy & Carolyn Tharp, of Elkfork, Kentucky. One daughter, Ann Howard, of West Liberty, Kentucky, One son-in-law, McKinley Coffee, of West Liberty, Kentucky. Two sisters, Thelma Johnson, of Winchester, Kentucky. Zelma Fugate of Sellersberg, IN. Four brothers, Carlis Tharp, of South Shore, Kentucky, Edward Tharp, of Argellite, Kentucky. Brice Tharp of Ona, WVA., Randy Tharp of Indianapolis, IN.  Eleven grandchildren, nineteen great-grandchildren, three great-great-grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Charlie & Clara Wilson Tharp, wives, Peggy Stacy Tharp and Maggie Tharp. Daughter, Myrtle Tharp Coffee. Grandson, Clifton Coffee. Great-grandson, Austin Clay Coffee. Brothers, Herman, Bill, Osborne, Tom and Earl Tharp. One son-in-law, Lundie Howard.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 17, 2018 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Jimmie Tharp officiating. Interment in South Fork Cemetery, Malone, Kentucky. Visitation after 6:00pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, Kentucky. Pallbearers, Grandsons, Grandsons-in-law and nephew.
