Denzil C. Potter, age 59 yrs,8 months, and 28 days, of West Liberty, KY, departed this life Tuesday, August 14, 2018 in the Jewish Hospital, Louisville, KY. He was born in West Liberty, Kentucky on November 17, 1958, son of Manford Ray Potter and Leberta Lou May Potter. He was united in marriage to Brenda Kemplin on September 10, 1977.
He was a Magistrate of Morgan County Fiscal Court, and a self-employed heavy equipment operator. He was preceded in death by his mother, Leberta Lou May Potter, brother Jeffery D. Potter and his father-in-law, James F. Kemplin.
Surviving is his wife, Brenda Kemplin Potter, father, Ray Potter and wife Ruth, son, Aaron C. Potter, and grandson, Landon C. Potter , three sisters, Rayette Potter, LeAnn & Brian Lindon, and Jennifer & Gene Whitaker all of West Liberty, Kentucky. Mother-in-law, Anna F. Kemplin of Fairborn, Ohio. One sister-in-law, Angela & Greg Scott of Beaver Creek, Ohio. Two brothers-in-law, Jimmy Kemplin of Pasadena, Maryland, and Timmy & Daphne Kemplin of Fairborn, Ohio. Host of nieces, nephews, extended family, friends, Morgan County Fiscal Court Family and Magistrate Associates.
Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Saturday, August 18, 2018 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Rick Pelfrey and Bro.Eric Pelfrey officiating. Interment in Allen Cemetery, White Oak, Kentucky. Visitation, 6:30pm, Friday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
