Devona Alma Murphy

Devona Alma Murphy, age 99, of Ezel, Kentucky passed away on Saturday, June 1, 2019 in Cynthiana, Kentucky after an extended illness. She was born April 9, 1920 in Ethan,South Dakota. She was a member of the United Presbyterian Church, Ezel, KY

Surviving is one son Jerry & Patty Murphy, of Ezel, KY. Three grandchildren Jerry Allen Murphy(Bridget),of Ezel, KY. Mary Gim Norfleet (Henry), of Cynthiana, KY. Calvin Dale Murphy (Jill) of Georgetown, KY. Six great-grandchildren Cory Allen Murphy (Ashley), Richard Andrew Norfleet, Sarah Allison Norfleet, Matthew Ryan Norfleet, Hannah Elizabeth Norfleet, Serena Taylor Nowlin Murphy. One sister Ruth Wittenhagen of Mitchell, South Dakota.

She was preceded in death by her parents Otto & Nancy Alice Motley Wittenhagen, and her husband Boyd Herbert Murphy, two sisters and eight brothers.

Funeral service will be 1:30pm, Tuesday at United Presbyterian Church, Ezel, KY with Rev. Keith McGuire officiating. Burial in Ezel Cemetery, Ezel,KY. Visitation will be 11:30am Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers, J.C. Stamper, Jerry Lane, Gene Neff, Delbert Coffey, Greg Motley and Bill Roach.
