Diana Sue (Caskey) Smith

Diana Sue Caskey Smith, age 73 of Hartford, Kentucky, formerly of West Liberty went to be with the Lord on Sunday, November 10th, 2019. Diana was a retired school teacher and taught many years at Wrigley Elementary in Morgan County and retired from Horsebranch Elementary in Ohio County. She enjoyed working with children and was loved by all her students in both Morgan and Ohio Counties.

Diana was preceded in death by her parents, Lee and Lorene Caskey of West Liberty, Kentucky and granddaughter, Jessica Alayne Cox of Campton, Kentucky. Survivors include her beloved husband of 58 years, Gerald Smith; two daughters, Gerri Mayabb (John) of Campton, Kentucky and Terri Smith-Perry (Danny) of Bristol, Virginia; Grandchildren Amanda Dennis (Trevor) of Morehead, Kentucky, Brian White of Pikeville, Kentucky, Darrick Turner (Leah) of Louisville, Kentucky; Great-Grandchildren Zander Rice, Penelope and Kinley Dennis and Kendon White; Sisters, Jan Gevedon (Ron) of Crab Orchard, Kentucky, Patty Ross of Ezel, Kentucky; Brother, Danny Caskey (Stephanie) of Campton, Kentucky.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm Thursday, November 14,2019 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro.Kenny Gevedon and Bro. James Tyra officiating. Burial at the Grassy Lick Cemetery, Grassy Creek, Kentucky. Visitation after 6:00pm Wednesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, Kentucky. Honorary pallbearers, All of her former students, members of Grassy Lick Baptist Church and Lick Fork Pentecostal Church. Active pallbearers, Brian White, Darrick Turner, Zander Rice, Danny Caskey, Chris Caskey and Cameron Caskey.
