Edward Herschell Fannin age 71, of Steele Road, West Liberty, Kentucky passed away Thursday, September 20, 2018 in the V. A. Medical Center, Lexington, Kentucky, after a brief illness. He was born at Jeptha, Kentucky on October 25, 1946. He was a retired truck driver, Vietnam army veteran. He was preceded in death by a son, David Shawn Fannin and great-grandson, Jensen Sawyer Howard.
Surviving is his mother, Wilda Burks, two daughters, Michelle Fannin and Mary Holliday all of West Liberty, Kentucky. Son, Edward Fannin Jr. (Joyce) of Salyersville, Kentucky. Six grandchildren, Coty (Pan), Cierra, Mattie, Hunter, Tyra and Maylea. Two great-grandchildren, Brantley and Ryder. Three sisters, Charlene Nidiffer (Sam) of Campton, Kentucky, Deloris Burks of Sharpsburg, Kentucky, Beverly Howard (Donnie) of West Liberty, Kentucky. Six brothers, Ballard Fannin Jr. (Sharon) of West Liberty, Kentucky, Raymond Fannin of Morehead, Kentucky, John Tate of West Liberty, Kentucky, David Tate (Wilma) of West Liberty, Kentucky, Larry Abrams (Gladys) of Carlisle, Kentucky, and Darrel Burks of Stanton, Kentucky.
Funeral services will be 11:30am, Monday, September 24, 2018 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Rev. Mike Frisby officiating. Interment in West Liberty Memorial Gardens, West Liberty, KY, (with Military Honors conducted by Morgan County D.A.V. Chapter # 132). Visitation 6:00pm, Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, Kentucky. Honorary pallbearers, His nephews and Active pallbearers, His Brothers.
