Gordon Mitchell King, age 73, of Ezel, Kentucky, passed away on Thursday February 28, 2019 in the Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY after an extended illness. He was born on January 1, 1946 in West Liberty, KY to Chavis King and Loretta Collins King Little. He worked road construction and was a member of the United Baptist Church, Caney, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Chavis and Loretta Collins King Little, one grandson Jeremy Martin, one step granddaughter, Whitney Vance, one great-grandson Tyler Bowman.
Surviving is his wife Treva Barker Vance King of Ezel, KY. One daughter Terri Martinez (Leon) of Winchester, KY. Two sons, Donovan & Tammy King of Winchester, KY. Jason King of West Liberty, KY. Two step daughters, Betty Bowman (Doug) of Taylorsville, NC.; Carol Ferguson (Brian) of Ezel, KY. Four stepsons; David Vance (Michelle) of West Liberty, KY; Charles Vance (Patty) of Granite Falls, NC.; Raymond Vance (Angie); Jackie Vance (Tina) of Ezel, KY. Twenty-one grandchildren, ten great-grandchildren. One brother Randy King of West Liberty, KY.
Funeral services will be held 1:00pm Sunday, March 3, 2019 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Hobart Dunn and Bro. Mark Risner officiating. Burial in Walnut Grove Cemetery, Hwy 191, West Liberty, KY. Visitation will be held 6:00pm Saturday, March 2, 2019 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers will be David Vance, Charles Vance, Raymond Vance, Jackie Vance, John King and Jobie King.
