Marie (Dixon) Whitt

Marie Dixon Whitt, of Wrigley, Kentucky, passed away Friday, October 5, 2018 in St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, Kentucky after a brief illness at the age of 94. She was born February 23, 1924 to John and Doris Doyle Dixon in Lancaster, England. She was a retired post mistress for 55 years at Wrigley, Kentucky. A member of the Catholic Church. She was preceded in death by her parents John and Doris Doyle Dixon, husband Roy Whitt, brother Jack Dixon.

 Surviving is two sons, John and Linda Sue Whitt of Wrigley, Kentucky, Kenneth & Debra Jean Whitt of Mize, Kentucky. Five grandchildren, Stephanie Renee & Chris Lacy, Melissa Dawn & Jonathan Lewis, Jonathan Scott Whitt, Matthew Kenneth Whitt, and Kendra Marie and Jonathan Lopez. Four great-grandchildren, William Michael Lacy, Stephen Andrew Lacy, Ethan Matthew Lewis and Lydia Renee Lewis. Four sisters-in-laws Hilda Dixon of Lancaster, England and Naomi and Alden Collins, Wrigley, Kentucky, Rosanne Whitt and Meta Mae Whitt of Fairborn, Ohio and many nieces and nephews.

Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, October 10, 2018 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Rick Pelfrey and Bro. Johnny Dagnan officiating. Interment in Wrigley Community Cemetery, Wrigley, Kentucky. Visitation, 6:00pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, Kentucky.

Pallbearers: Matthew Whitt, Jonathan Lopez, Chris Lacy, Ethan Lewis, Michael Lacy, Stephen Lacy, Jonathan Lewis and Jonathan Whitt.
