Nora Jane Goodpaster, age 85, West Liberty, Kentucky, passed away Thursday, November 8, 2018 at St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, Kentucky after an extended illness. Born Saturday, April 1, 1933 in Ezel, Kentucky to the late Courtney and Vivian Rowland Centers, Jane was a retired bookkeeper and member of Broadway First Church of God, West Liberty, Kentucky. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by a son, Garrett Allan Goodpaster, and one brother, Wilburn Centers Jane is survived by her husband, Allan Goodpaster; son, Glennis Goodpaster (Susie); grandson, Alex Goodpaster (Becky), all of West Liberty; and granddaughter, Hilary Murray (Zachary) of Lexington, Kentucky. Also surviving are two great-grandchildren, Eli and Nora Goodpaster; one sister, Mary Elizabeth Robbins of Dayton, Ohio, and brother Thurman Lee Centers (Phoebe) of Mount Sterling, Kentucky. Private services for the family with Brother Karl Elam and Pastor Hunter Fraley officiating will be held at Herald Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, with interment in Ezel Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Alex Goodpaster, Zachary Murray, Randall Goodpaster, Dean Rowland, Gordon Henry, and Anthony Chaney.
