Rev. Stanley Riggsby Obituary

Rev. Stanley Riggsby, age 59, Pleasant Run Road, West Liberty, KY, passed away Monday April 30, 2018 ,St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, KY, after a brief illness. He was born February 6, 1959 in West Liberty, KY, to the late Walter and Violet Engle Riggsby. He was preceded in death by his mother-in law, Lena Black, and The Herdman Family,(Bruce, Connie and Brooke).  He was the owner of Riggsby's Garage, a tobacco farmer, and served  three terms as Magistrate District #3. He was a member of the Pleasant Run House of Prayer.

Surviving is his wife, Lesley Black Riggby, and three daughters, Amy Beth Thornsbury, Sarah Nicole Patrick, and Misty Dawn Hicks and husband, Vernon Hick Jr. all of West Liberty, KY. Five grandchildren, Dawson Patrick,

Emily Hicks, Brooklyn Thornsbury, Preston Patrick and Sierra Patrick.

Funeral will be 1:00pm, Thursday, May 3, 2018 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey  Chapel with Rev. Eugene Haney and Bro. Dean Lewis officiating. Burial in Riggsby Family Cemetery, Pleasant Run road, West Liberty, KY

Visitation after, 6:00pm,Wednesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Honorary pallbearers: Dawson Patrick, Emily Hicks, Brooklyn Thornsbury Sierra Patrick, Preston Patrick, Tom Merriett, Bucky Hicks, Robert Adams. Active pallbearers, Jon Brown, Denzil Potter, Anthony Lykins, Brandon Evans, Stanley Franklin, Randy Williams, Scott Patrick, and Abe Thornsbury.
