Roger Keeton, resident of Elkfork, KY, passed away on December 6, 2018 at St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, KY at the age of 80 years. Born April 2, 1938 at Crockett, KY a son of Thurman and Florence Burks Keeton. He was a member of the Straight Creek Enterprise Baptist Church and a retired heavy equipment operator.
He will be sadly missed by his wife Corenna Howell Keeton of Elkfork, KY, and his children Peggy and Anthony Henry, Grassy Creek, KY, Joey Bates of West Liberty, KY, Randy Bates of Dayton, OH, Everett & Shane Markwell of Grassy Creek, KY, Danny & Jennifer Markwell of Morehead, KY. Fifteen grandchildren, Kristy, Nick, Mickie, Jessie, Hannah, Makayla, Amberlee, Morgan, Grant, Candace, Garrison, Gabe, Tehgan, Krista and Nicole and fifteen great grandchildren. Two sisters Dottie & Estill Lewis of New Vienna, OH, Sharon & Gary Williams of West Liberty, KY. Two brothers, Bill & Irene Keeton and Darrell Keeton all of Crockett, KY. He was preceded in death by his parents Thurman and Florence Burks Keeton, five sisters, Connie Keeton (Infant), Gail Benton, Betty Smith, Bonnie Holbrook, Wanda Conley, four brothers Gene, Bob, Charles and Ronnie Keeton.
The visitation service will be held on Saturday December 8, 2018, at 5:00pm at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. The funeral service will be held on Sunday December 9, 2018 at 11:30am at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Pastor Jeff Adkins and Bro. Joe Gamble officiating. Interment in Ison Cemetery, Crockett, KY. Honorary pallbearers: David Earl May, Estill Lewis, Wendell Conley, Gary Lewis, Terry Lewis, Gary Williams, Gage Gamble and Asher Gamble, Active pallbearers: Nick O’Neal, Garrison Markwell, Gabe Markwell, Grant Markwell, Joe Gamble, Shawn Vance.
