Sherry Lee Bailey

On Saturday, the 17th day of March, 2018,Sherry Lee Bailey, age 66, celebrated her arrival into heaven. Greeted by numerous family and friends to welcome her home. Born February 26th.,1952 in West Liberty, Kentucky to Deloris Marie Smith and was one of 5 children. She was a 1970 graduate of Morgan County High School. She attended some college courses for accounting at North Central Technical College.

Sherry owned and operated Bailey Tax Service for 40 years in Shelby, Ohio. She adored her business and during tax season she lived and breathed it. She enjoyed the time she spent with her clients and were so thankful for each and every one of them.

She cherished her relationship with our Lord Savior Jesus Christ and was a leading factor in helping to guide numerous people to Christ. While living in Kentucky, she attended Pekin Pentecostal Church regularly. During her time in Ohio, she attended Belmont Baptist Church. She assisted many friends and sometimes family on mending their broken relationship in life. She couldn't stand to see anyone broken. She truly cared about the welfare of people.

Sherry was one of the most loving people in the world. She had a huge heart. She was a cherished wife, mother, sister, grammy, aunt, and friend to so many. She is survived by her loving husband of almost 48 years, Bill Bailey of West Liberty,KY.. Children includes Andrea (Shannon) Chaney of Hazel Green,KY/part-time Shelby,Ohio; Jimmy (Michelle) Bailey of Shelby,Ohio; Shellie (Mike) Wilson of Butler,Ohio; Shannon Bailey of Sunbury,Ohio; Tammy (Gary) Johnson of Shelby,Ohio; "Adopted daughter",Angie Hamman of West Liberty,KY; many grandchildren and great-grandchildren, nieces and nephews and great nieces and nephews. Siblings

includes Kenny (Brenda) Ruth of Cape Girardeau,MO; Lora ( Russell) Brown of Shelby,Ohio; Lynne Smith of West Liberty, KY; David (Karla) Smith of Lawrenceburg,KY, "Adopted sister", Robyn (Billy) Ferguson, of West Liberty,KY.

She was preceded in death by her mother, Deloris Marie Smith; father and mother-in-law, Dillard and Cassie Bailey, her papaw, John Andy Smith and special cousin Johnnie Ray Smith.

Her family will receive friends at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home on Tuesday evening, March 20th, at 6:00pm. Funeral service will be held at 11:30am Wednesday, March 21st.at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Okie Evans, Bro. Sammie Van Cleave and Bro.Jimmy Bailey officiating. Burial in Smith Cemetery, West Liberty,KY.

Pallbearers: Ricky Peyton, Zac Peyton, Russell Brown, Cade Brown, Josh Smith, Jeff Bailey, Dylan Bailey and Brandon Bailey.
