Shirley Gay (Dulin) Adkins age 72 years, 4 months and 22 days old of Bolden Branch at Ezel, KY passed away at her home around 1:00 p.m. on Thursday, May 17, 2018 after suffering from an extended illness. She was born on Tuesday, December 25, 1945 at Jeptha, KY in Morgan County. She was the daughter of the late Jesse Ervin & Emma (Jenkins) Dulin.
She was a loving daughter, sister, cousin, wife, mother, aunt, grandmother, great-grandmother and friend.
She was a housewife & former janitor for the Herald, Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, KY.
She was the wife of the late Earl Adkins. They were married on Sunday, August 25, 1963 at West Liberty, KY. They were blessed with 7 children (Earl Eugene, Gregory Lynn, Cheryl Elaine, Michael Ray, Carl Dean, Shawn Dale & Sheena Gail).
She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her Savior. She was of the Pentecostal faith and attended church with Rev. Josh Hampton & Rev. Arpie Hampton.
She was preceded in death by her husband of 50 years, Earl Adkins, on Wednesday, May 7, 2014; her parents, Jesse Ervin & Emma (Jenkins) Dulin; her father-in-law & mother-in-law, John Riley "Jay" & Prudie (Keeton) Adkins; her paternal grandparents, John & Syrissa (Cantrell) Dulin; her maternal grandparents, James Edward & Mary Jane (McKenzie) Jenkins; 6 half-brothers, Coy Dulin, Dock Dulin, Vonnie Dulin, Clayton Dulin, Sanford Dulin & Billy Dulin; 2 half-sisters, Josie Jane (Dulin) Watkins & Edney Jenkins; 3 full-brothers, Millard Dulin, Emery Dulin & Mikey Dulin; 2 full-sisters, Rosie (Dulin) Throckmorton & Geneva Dulin; 1 granddaughter, Caneishia Brooke Adkins; 1 unborn grandchild and 1 great-grandson, Wade Michael Trimble.

Funeral visitation will be held at 6:00 p.m. on Saturday, May 19, 2018 at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, KY.
Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, May 20, 2018 at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home Chapel in West Liberty, KY with Rev. Joshua Hampton, Rev. Arpie Hampton and Rev. Eugene Haney officiating.
Place of burial will be at the Ezel Cemetery at Ezel, KY in Morgan County. Active Pallbearers: Grandsons and Honorary Pallbearers: Sons, Brother, Tanner and Riley.
