Willie Thornton Nickell

Willie Thornton Nickell, age 37,Cannel City, KY, passed away Saturday, May 26, 2018 in the U.K. Hospital, Lexington, KY after an extended illness. He was born December 27, 1980 in Ypsilanti, MI., a son of the late Ralph and Carlene Haney Nickell. He was a member of the Cross Road Baptist Church, Hwy 191, Hazel Green, KY. In addition  to his parents, he was preceded in death by his wife, Elizabeth Nickell. Surviving is one son, Bradley Nickell and a step daughter, Jayden McCarty both of West Liberty, KY. Three sisters, Jenny Nickell, Cindy & Kelley Hammonds, and Rachel & Matt Davis all of West Liberty,KY. Two brothers, Jayare & Leah Nickell and

Jon & Amber Nickell all of Mt. Sterling, KY. Fourteen nieces and nephews, Emily Grace Hammonds, Cora Beth Hammonds, Jacob Nickell, Jeremiah Johnson, Jaelynn Nickell, Carlee McClurg, Maddie Davis, Elizabeth Davis, Lilee Davis, Christian Hensley, Brianna Hensley, Jaxson Nickell, Willie Trey Nickell, Kaden Havens.

Funeral service will be 2;30pm, Wednesday, May 30, 2018 at the Cross Road Baptist Church, with Pastor Mark Risner officiating. Burial in Hager Phipps Cemetery, Cannel City,KY. Visitation after 6:pm, Tuesday at Cross Road Baptist Church, 1559 Hwy 191, Hazel Green, KY. Herald &  Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty,KY..
