Adam Ray Montgomery, age 45, of Sandy Hook, KY, passed away Monday, August 23,2021 at his home after a brief illness. Born March 21,1976 in Paintsville, KY. Adam is survived by his wife of almost 25 years, Crystal Prater Montgomery, Two sons, William John Montgomery, Trevor Montgomery (Brittany). Four daughters, Arin, Kayla, Angel and Kathryn. Three grandsons, Lukas, Korbin, Kolton. His father Teddy Montgomery and his mother, Debbie Ward Montgomery. One brother, Jonathan Montgomery (Julie). One sister, Valerie Watson (Brain). Two nieces, Karlie and Johnna. Three nephews, Jacob, Kain, and Jackson. One special sister, Crystal Ross (Paul). One special niece, Olivia Ross, one special nephew, Cason, a host of family and friends.
He was preceded in death by one son, R.J. and maternal grandparents, and paternal grandparents, special dad, James Montgomery, special uncle, Lee Montgomery.
Adam was a character, when he wasn’t sneaking off at get together at his mom’s with the other men, he was cracking jokes. He loved to hunt, if he wasn’t fox hunting with his buddies he was coon hunting with his favorite coon hunting buddy, Terry Lee. Oh. The stories he could tell. He was a devoted Christian. He was a member of the Hope Enterprise Baptist Church. He spoke of God often, praying for others, and would give the shirt off his back. He was a giver. He has worked for Lowe’s in Morehead for the past 15 years. He loved his work family, But, above all his life was his family, especially his children. He would stop and run to anyone of them day or night. He was a very devoted family man.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Friday, August 27,2021 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Dean Ball officiating. Interment in Prater Cemetery, Rockhouse,KY. Visitation will be 6:00pm, Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
