Alfred Franklin “Frank” Hamilton, 77 years old, of Elizabethtown, Ky, died on Tuesday, May 9, 2023. He was born in Paintsville, Ky to William Brady Hamilton and Phoebe Ellen Skaggs Hamilton on February 24, 1946. Making his stay on earth 77 years, 2 months, and 16 days.
He was a dedicated husband of 57 years and father working hard to provide for his family. His career included being a member of Local 577 as a pipefitter. He spent the end of his career and retired from Foothills Rural Telephone Company. He was a member of Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church of Crockett, Ky. Frank was a clerk and deacon of Old Paint Church, and Burning Springs Association. Fox Hunting and showing his fox hounds was a big part of his life, and he always claimed to have the best fox hounds regardless of the competition.
Frank is survived by his loving wife Amanda Jane Brown Hamilton. One son Rodney Franklin Hamilton (Jessica Ann Scaggs Hamilton). One daughter Deanna Jane Hamilton Johnson (widow of Bobby Johnson Jr.). Five Grandchildren Johnathan Brady Hamilton (Cara Newberry Hamilton), Bailie Hamilton Ramsey (Korey Ramsey), Jacob Johnson, Gwyneth Pack, and Harrison Hamilton. Four great-grandchildren Addison, Peyton, Madelyn Ramsey and Brody Hamilton.
Preceded in death by his parents Brady and Phoebe Hamilton, Three brothers Garland Hamilton (Lola Hamilton), Carl Hamilton (Delcie Hamilton), Alderson “Whis” Hamilton (Charlotte Hamilton) and Son-in-Law Bobby Johnson, Jr.
Arrangements: Visitation will be held at Herald-Stewart-Halsey Funeral Home on Friday, May 12, 2023, 6:00-9:00 pm. Funeral Service will be held Saturday, May 13, 2023 at Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church, Crockett, Ky at 1:00 PM. Burial at Highlands Memorial Park Cemetery, Staffordsville, Ky following the funeral service. Visitation, 11: 30 am, Saturday at Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church, Crockett, KY.
