Billy Joe Murphy

Billy Joe Murphy, age 69 of Ezel, KY passed Saturday, May 15th at his home surrounded by his family. He was a christian and member of the Pine Grove Community Church in Ezel, KY. He was born February 26,1952 in Mt.Sterling,KY  to Reed and Lucille Murphy.

Surviving is his wife of nearly 48 years, Peggy Howard Murphy, two sons, Quentin and Jenny Murphy, and Jarred and Catrina Murphy, and three grandchildren, Olivia Murphy, Oakley Murphy, and Jocelynn Murphy all of Ezel, KY, and many extended family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents Reed and Lucille Murphy of Ezel, KY and one infant brother.

Funeral services will be held 2:00 pm Tuesday May 18th at the Pine Grove Community Church, 4000 Highway 882, Ezel, KY with Bro. Jared DeAtley and Bro. Garrie Stamper officiating. Burial will follow in the Pine Grove Cemetery, Ezel, KY. Visitation after 11:00 am Tuesday at the Pine Grove Community Church, 4000 Highway 882, Ezel, KY. COVID-19 mandate/regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
