Billy Ray Smith

Billy Ray Smith, age 56, of Hwy 589, West Liberty, KY, departed this life Wednesday, September 10, 2025, in the Claire Medical Center, Morehead, KY, after a brief illness. Born in Xenia, Ohio, on March 31, 1969, son of Jason & Delcie Ison Smith. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother. He worked as a farmer. Surviving are his wife, Cathy Rucker Smith; one daughter, Tasha & David Adkins; and two sons, Jeramie Elliott and Cody Ray Smith. two grandchildren, Kristina Rose and Kristal Rose. Two sisters, Patricia & Steve McClellan and Darlene & Dale Cantrell. Three brothers: James & Linda Smith, William & Carolyn Smith, and Matthew & Isis Smith.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jason & Delcie Ison Smith; one son, Cory Ray Smith; and one daughter, Breanna Smith.

Visitation starts at 6:00pm on Friday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Saturday, September 13, 2025, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Elder Jackie Smith and Bro. Donnie Pack officiating. Burial in the Joe Amos Smith Cemetery, Hwy 589, West Liberty, KY.
