Braden John Russell, age 18, the cherished little boy in his family departed this life October 20, 2025, at UK HealthCare, Lexington, KY, after an extended illness., Born June 23, 2007, in Paintsville, KY, the son of John Russell and Amanda Rikki Russell. He was preceded in death by his paternal grandfather, William Harold Russell.

Surviving are his father, John Russell, Paintsville, KY; and mother, Amanda Rikki Russell, Salyersville, KY. Maternal grandparents Ricky & Mable Howard, of Salyersville, KY. Paternal grandmother Loretta Russell, Paintsville, KY. Sister Breianna Russell, Paintsville, KY. Host of cousins. His dog, Ellie Mae, and his horse, JJ.

He hath chosen us in him, before the foundation of the world, that we should be holy and without blame.

 Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, October 24, 2025, at the Elkfork Primitive Baptist Church (Rockhouse, KY), 6727 KY-364, West Liberty, KY, with Elder Chris Howard, Elder Emerson Montgomery, Elder Teddy Montgomery, and Elder Little John Howard officiating. Interment in the Crockett Howard Family Cemetery, Rockhouse, KY. Visitation is at 6 pm Thursday at the Elkfork Primitive Baptist Church, 6727 KY-367, West Liberty, KY. Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY, is in charge of arrangements for Braden John Russell.
