Brenda Howard O'Neal, age 77, of Elkfork, KY, passed away Monday, October 27, 2025, at her home after a brief illness. She was born September 27, 1948, in West Liberty, KY, daughter of Walter and Bessie Harper Howard. She was a member of the Straight Creek Enterprise Baptist Church. She was formerly an employee of Lion Apparel. A loving wife, mother, sister, and grandmother.

Survivors are one daughter, Angela & David Elliott of Elkfork, KY, and one son, Shannon & Crystal O’Neal of Salyersville, KY. Special grandson, Tyler Griffin. Two sisters: Karen Vance of Campton, KY, and Patricia & Terry Bowling of Grayson, KY. Two brothers, Steve & Virlie Howard and Mike Howard, all of West Liberty, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Walter & Bessie Harper Howard, and husband Elton B. O’Neal. Two brothers, Walter Howard Jr. & Ray Howard.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, October 31, 2025, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, with Pastor Jeff Adkins and Bro. David Elliott officiating. Interment in the Oney Cemetery, Harper, KY. Visitation is 6:00pm Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
