Burl E. George

Burl E. George, age 85, Franklin, Ohio departed this life Thursday, July 24,2025 at his home after an illness. Born April 6,1940 in Elkfork, KY son of Con & Rissie Cox George. He was a member of the Pennyroyal Baptist Church, Franklin, OH, a retired brick layer. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother.

Surviving is his daughter Tami and Mitch Johnson and son James George and Sheree. Five grandchildren, seven great-grandchildren and three great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his parents Con & Rissie Cox George, wife Ella Faye George, grandson Robert George and brother Earl George.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, July 30,2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Roger Ball officiating. Burial in Ball Cemetery, Old House Branch Rd, Elkfork, KY. Visitation, 6:pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers are friends and relatives.
