CW Day passed away at his home at West Liberty, KY in Morgan County on Friday, November 17, 2023 at the age of 65 years, 5 months & 9 days old. CW was born on Sunday, June 8, 1958 at Frenchburg, KY in Menifee County. He was the son of the late Walter Woodford Day & Gloria Jean (Vance) Terry - Day. He attended Morgan County High School at West Liberty, KY. He was a employee of Brown and Root in Texas then later served as a Superintendent in his area of work and later transferred to Brown and Root In Maysville where he later retired. He was a Mason.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Walter Woodford Day & Gloria Jean (Vance) Terry - Day; his paternal grandparents, Cecil Woodford Day & Maud Mae (Rice) Day; his maternal grandparents, Clay Turner Vance & Goldie (Hayes) Vance; his brother-in-law, Everett Boyd Manley & his great-nephew, Waylon Music.
CW is survived by his special friend, Vicky Muse of Maysville, KY; his sister, Alice Faye (Terry) Manley, of Morehead, KY; his 3 brothers: Randall Clay Terry & his wife Rita of Paris, KY; Glen Eugene Day & his wife Lucy of Morehead, KY & Maurice Edward “Joe” Day & his wife Melinda of West Liberty, KY; his 5 nieces: Shannon (Terry) Patterson & her husband Jack Patterson of Paris, KY; Tabitha (Manley) Roland & her husband Glenn Roland of Flemingsburg, KY; Leatha (Manley) McKenzie-Helwig & her husband Steve Helwig of Morehead, KY; Ashley Dawn Vanover & her husband Kody Vanover of Columbus, OH and Amanda Heather Day & her boyfriend, Bruce Layne, of Morehead, KY; his 1 nephew: Brent Eugene Day of Salt Lick, KY; his great-nieces & great-nephews: Jeana (Guess) Music & her boyfriend, John Fugitt, Jordan & Candice Helton, Troy Wagoner/Patterson, Melody Patterson & daughter Jenna, Jade Castle, Allie Utchek, Austin Utchek, Mason Utchek, Sailor Grace, Kayden Daniel Vanover, Alianna Dawn Vanover, Tanner McKenzie & his wife Hannah McKenzie and Layla (McKenzie) Adkins & husband Tyler Adkins. He is also survived by several great-great nieces & great-great nephews, as well as several cousins and friends.
Private service. Funeral services will be handled by Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home at West Liberty, KY.
