Carol June Gilliam

Carol June Gilliam, 75 of West Liberty, KY passed away Thursday, April 17, 2025 at UK Claire Hospital, Morehead, KY following a brief illness. She was born June 1,1949 in Crockett, KY to Charlie ‘Ebb’ Gilliam and Gretta Holbrook Gilliam. Carol was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She dedicated her life to her family, always putting their needs before her own. Even during her illness, she wanted to take care of them. The love she had for her family was truly unmatched.

Surviving is her husband Elmer Gene Gilliam, two daughters Jennifer & Wayne Moore, Amy & Gene Keeton. two stepsons Elmer Keeton and Timmy Keeton and one step daughter Norma Young. Four grandchildren Gretta Moore, Zachary Keeton, Garrett Moore, Aubree Moore. One great granddaughter Claire June Ferguson. Ten step grandchildren, Sixteen step great-grandchildren. Sister Kathy Fraley, brother Ivan Gilliam, one sister-in-law Kaye Gilliam.

She was preceded in death by her parents Charlie “Ebb” Gilliam & Gretta Holbrook Gilliam, two brothers Randall & Larry Gilliam, two sisters Charlene Keaton (Herman), Iness Keaton (Roger), brother-in-law Larry Fraley, sister-in-law Anna Ruth Gilliam

. Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Monday April 21,2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with ministers Rick Keaton and David Roseberry. Burial in the Ison Family Cemetery, Hwy 706, West Liberty, KY. Visitation, 6:30pm Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY

Pallbearers: Zachary Keeton, Garrett Moore, Kelly Gilliam, Keith Gilliam, Gary Gilliam, Doug Keaton, Dale Keaton, Daylan Gilliam.
