Clayton Davis, of Hwy 7, West Liberty, Kentucky passed away Wednesday, January 6, 2021 at his home after a brief illness at the age of 94. Born June 7, 1926 in West Liberty, Kentucky to Thomas and Mary Lou Blair Davis. He was a member of the Lick Fork Pentecostal Church and a retired construction worker. He was preceded in death by his parents Thomas and Mary Lou Blair Davis, his wife Bessie Davis, one son, Jimmy Davis, four brothers, Corby, Delmer, Gordon, and Curtis Davis. Sister Juanita Wiblin, and two grandchildren Tara Brook Davis and Joshua Peyton.
Surviving are his three daughters, Joanne & Ken Downs of Pensacola, FL., Joyce & Garry Ferguson, and Connie & Bryan Bragg all of Wrigley, KY. Daughter-in-law, Carla Davis of West Liberty, KY. Two sisters, Letha Conley of West Liberty, KY, and Stella Caskey of Mt. Sterling, KY. Five grandchildren: Sheila Frenkel, Shoni Turnmeyer, Ashley Lewis, Nicholas Davis and Courtney Bailey. 12 great-grandchildren: Hannah Frenkel, Austin Turnmeyer, Landon Lewis, Dylan Davis, Kyleigh Bailey, Garrison Lewis, Kynleigh Bailey, Emileigh Bailey, Skylar Davis, Kainon Lewis, and Nataleigh Bailey, and 2 great-great-grandchildren; Riley Stanley and Reece Stanley.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, January 9,2021 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Garry Ferguson and Bro. Vernon Lewis officiating. Interment in Davis Cemetery, Wrigley, KY. Visitation will be 12:Noon Saturday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
Pallbearers: Evan Lewis, Nick Davis, Ken Downs, Bryan Bragg, Jimmy Penn, Timmy Davis, Darrell Bailey, and Stevie Conley.
COVID-19 regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.
