Dan Hershell Cantrell was born November 26, 1949 and went to be with the Lord June 6,2020 at the age of 70. Surviving is his wife of 52 ½ years, Sara Montgomery Cantrell, one daughter, Julie Ann & Jerry Robbins, two sons Hershell Ray & Shonna Cantrell, Kenneth Jay Cantrell & fiancee Larna. 11 grandchildren, 11 great-grandchildren. Six sisters, Trixie Gamble, Thelma & Larry Boomershine, Sarah & Jerry Wittman, Belma & Mark Rhodes, Dolly & Sandrus Daniel, Tammy & Lynn B. McClurg. Four brothers, Eddie & Linda Cantrell, Alec & Bonnie Cantrell, William S.& Cheryl Cantrill, Denny & Bonita Cantrell. A dear friend Robert Alexander.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ronnie Hershell & Janie Cantrell, two sisters Dixie Whitaker, and Carolyn Conley. Dan was saved by God and baptized in 1972.He was called to preach in 1974. He was a faithful servant of the Lord and attended the United Baptist Churches until he went home to be with the Lord. Dan worked as a welder until he retired. He will be sadly missed by all the many family, friends, neighbors, co-workers and christian brothers ans sisters whose lives he touched over the years. If Dan was here he would say accept the Lord and meet him over there.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm,Wednesday, June 10,2020 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Elder Harlan Barnett, Elder Johnny Curtis, Elder David Young, Elder Austin Knipp officiating. Burial in the Dan Cantrell Cemetery, Hwy 437, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 6,PM Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers: Mike Young, Chris Young, Thomas Chaney, Joe Holbrook, Chris Chapman, Zachary Cantrell, Danny Robbins, Eric Arthur.
