Darlene (Collins) Nickell

Darlene Collins Nickell, age 70, of KY 191,Hazel Green, KY, passed away Saturday, August 14,2021 in UK Hospital, Lexington, KY after a brief illness. Born August 1,1951 in Dayton, Ohio to Will Collins and Hazel Winstead Collins. She was a member of the Hazel Green Christian Church, Hazel, KY. She was a Library Aid with the Wolfe County School System.

Surviving are her husband, Rex Nickell, one daughter, Sandra Standish (Ryan). One son John Nickell. One granddaughter, Ashleigh Nickell. Three brothers, Dean Collins (Brenda) Danny Swartz (Rosemary) & Larry Collins (Sherry).

She was preceded in death by her parents, Will & Hazel Winstead Collins. One sister, Diane Baker, two brothers Don Collins and her twin brother Derl Collins.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, August 19, 2021 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Pastor David Fields, and Speakers, Dean Collins, Ashleigh Nickell, Sandra Standish, John Nickell. Visitation, 6:00pm, Wednesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty ,KY. Interment in Hazel Green Cemetery, Hazel Green, KY.  Pallbearers are Dean Collins, Doug Wilson, Larry Collins. Bobby Sullens, Ryan Standish,  Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY in care of funeral for Mrs. Darlene Collins Nickell.
