Delbert Carl Jackson of Mize, was born April 12, 1954 in West Liberty, KY. He was the son of the late Franklin Bryan Jackson and Clara Jean Gevedon Jackson. Delbert graduated high school at Morgan County High School in 1972 where he also excelled at baseball. He attended and graduated with a bachelors degree from Morehead State University. He worked and retired as an Electrician Technician at Eastern Kentucky Correctional Complex. He was a member of Bethany Baptist Church and Greenville #655 Lodge F&AM. Surviving members include his mother, Clara Jackson, two brothers: Jerry Jackson Sr and David Jackson (Kelly), several nieces and a nephew as well as several great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his father Franklin Jackson and brother Mark "Hobo" Jackson.
Funeral service will be 1:00pm, Monday, February 22,2021 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Rick Pelfrey officiating. Burial in the Jackson Family Cemetery, Mize, KY. Visitation will be 6:pm, Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Pallbearers will be Friends and Relatives. Masonic Rites conducted by the Greenville 655 F&A.M Lodge, Sunday 7:pm at Herald & Stewart Halsey Chapel.
