Donald Jason Ison, age 46, of Owingsville, KY, departed this life Monday, December 15, 2025, in the St. Claire Hospital, Morehead, KY, after an extended illness. He was born March 29, 1979, in West Liberty, KY. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his savior. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Ison, and his mother, Judy Skaggs Marby.

Surviving are three sons, Derrick Ison of Frankfort, KY, and Garrett Ison and Wyatt Ison, both of Morehead, KY. Two sisters, Latonia and David Dooley and Amanda & Tracey Hays, all of Frankfort, KY, and one brother, Adam Ison of Owingsville, KY.

Funeral services will be held Thursday, 1:00pm, December 18, 2025, at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Minister Rob Ison, Bro. David Ison, and Bro. Dewie Ison officiating. Interment in the Southfork Cemetery, Malone, KY. Visitation, 11:30am Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers will be family and friends.
