Donnie Smith

Donnie Smith, age 68, of West Liberty, KY, passed away Tuesday in the St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, KY, on October 7, 2025, from an auto accident on KY 519, the Morgan and Rowan County line. He was born January 2, 1957, in West Liberty, KY, son of the late Jesse W. Smith and Nancy Bolin Smith. He worked as an installer for telecommunications for many years; this job had him traveling and enjoying each state he was working in. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather, and brother.

Survivors are two sons, Deven Scott Smith and Dustin Smith. One granddaughter, Alexis Smith. Two sisters, Sharon & Benton Hutchinson, and Shirl & Charlie Perry. Special friend Amanda Patrick.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Jesse W. Smith & Nancy Bolin Smith, and his wife, Mary Williams Smith.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Sunday, October 12, 2025, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Mike Lindon and Speaker Doug Hutchinson officiating. Interment in the Coffey Cemetery, Old Hwy 172, West Liberty, KY. Visitation is at 11:00am Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
