Edward Wright Obituary

Edward Morgan Wright, age 82, of Highway 172, West Liberty, entered into rest on Friday, April 24, 2020, at his residence after and extended illness. Born March 28, 1938 at Blaine in Lawrence County, KY, he was the son of the late Trimble Wright and Mildred Dulin Wright Bolin. In addition to his parents he is preceded in death by one sister Wanda Wright Price, and three brothers, Sandford (S.D.) Wright, William Elmo Wright, and Trimble Wright Jr.

He is survived by his wife Ment Berlene Wright, two sons, Eddie Wright, and Barry Wright, all of West Liberty, KY,  a daughter & son-in-law, Vickie & Paul Day, of Hazel Green, KY,  as well as four sisters & their spouses, Eva & Ronnie Bailey, Diana Bolin Jones, of West Liberty, KY, Phyllis & Gary Bailey, of Morhead, KY, Mary & Ray Francis, of West Liberty, KY, four brothers & their spouses; Roy & Lexie Wright of Mt. Sterling, KY, Robert Bolin, Eugene & Linda Bolin, both of West Liberty, KY and David & Brenda Bolin, of Morehead,KY, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, friends, and a special friend Judy Burchett of West Liberty, KY.

Morgan, as he preferred to be called, was a water well driller for many years, then a coal truck driver for Tommy Hill, and oil tanker driver for DB Gullett, as well a sawmill truck driver for Terry Fannin. In his later years, he was a devoted volunteer firefighter, for the Highway 172 Volunteer Fire Department, dedicating his life to helping as many people as possible.

Due to COVID-19 requirements set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. Private family burial will be Tuesday, April 28,2020 at Mary Pack Cemetery, Hwy 437,West Liberty, KY with Bro.J. R. Keeton officiating. Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY in care of arrangements of Edward Morgan Wright. Active pallbearers: Friends & Relatives. Honorary Pallbearers; Terry Fannin, Highway 172 Volunteer Fire Department, Tommy Hill, Peddler Gap Volunteer Fire Department, Steve Ratliff, David Roseberry.
