Edwin Gene Lykins

Edwin Gene Lykins, age, 87, passed away May 27, 2023 at the Morgan County ARH, West Liberty, KY after an extended illness. He was born January 21, 1936 in West Liberty, KY to Park & Ruby Oney Lykins.

He was a member of the Calvary Baptist Church of Cannel City, KY. He was a retired body shop operator & coal truck driver.

Preceded in death by his parents, Park & Ruby Oney Lykins. Wife Monteza Howard Lykins, sister, Jewell Allen, brother, Kenneth Lykins.

Surviving are one daughter, Sherry Lynn Munn (Brian), one granddaughter, Austina Lynnette Phipps (Leroy), one grandson, Brian Clay Munn (Krysten), three great grandchildren, Tinley Jade Phipps, Bentley Clark Phipps, Atley Kate Phipps. Three brothers, Jackie Lykins, Hershell Lykins (Jenny), Bobby Lykins (Cheryl), two sisters, Phyllis Imrich, Sharon Basso.

Funeral service will be held at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, ,Wednesday at 1:00 PM May 31, 2023 with Bro. Harry Helton & Bro. Rick Pelfrey officiating. Interment will be held at the Lykins Family Cemetery of White Oak, KY. Visitation starts at 6:30 PM Tuesday May 30, 2023 at the Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home West Liberty, KY.
