Elder Hatton Jerry Brown, age 70, of Muddy Branch Road, West Liberty, KY, passed away Sunday August 1,2021 at Hospice Care Center, Hazard, KY after an extended illness. Born February 21,1951 in Hammond, Indiana to Hobert Hatton Brown and Mary Ressie Ferguson Webb.
He worked as a pipe fitter and welder for many years. He was ordained as a minister in 1976. Member of Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church, Crockett, KY, and was the Moderator of Burning Springs Association since August 1985, and Moderator of Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church.
Surviving are his loving wife of 50 years & 11 ½ months, Betty Jean Hill Brown, his mother Mary Ressie Ferguson Webb, three children, Terrie & Stuart Cook, Evelyn & Charles Bolin, Jerry Clayton & Rebecca Brown all of West Liberty, KY. Four grandchildren, Autumn Howard (Dalton), Faith Bolin, Cameron Bolin, Brayson Cook. One sister, Amanda & Frank Hamilton of Elizabethtown, KY. Brother, Robie Lee & Ella Brown of Fairborn, OH. Several nieces & nephews. He was preceded in death by his father, Hobert Hatton Brown, father & mother in law, Edison & Nola Hill.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, August 5,2021 at Old Paint Primitive Baptist Church,15469 KY-172,West Liberty, KY, with Elder Jerry Howard, Elder Rick Holbrook, Elder John Rigsby and Elder Emerson Montgomery officiating. Burial in Brown Cemetery, Relief, KY. Visitation will be 6:pm, Wednesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY, and visitation 11;30am Thursday at the church until time of funeral service.
Pallbearers: Cameron Bolin, Brayson Cook, Dalton Howard, Jamie Hill, Joe Hill, Robert Brown, Rodney Hamilton.
