Eric Scot Whitt, 54, of West Liberty, KY, passed away after a brief illness on January 27, 2026. Eric was born on February 19, 1971, and lived most of his life in Morgan County.
He is survived by two brothers, Mickey & Michelle Whitt and Michael & Bonda Whitt; one sister, Tammy Davis, all of West Liberty, KY; and a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. He is preceded in death by his mother, Thelma Whitt Williams; stepfather, Harrison Williams; one brother, Johnny Whitt; one sister, Paula Sue Phipps; one brother-in-law, Harlan Davis; and his beloved dog, Crisco.
Eric had a kind heart and a big smile and was always willing to help others. He was a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend. Eric was known for his generosity, his laughter, and the genuine care he showed to everyone around him. Throughout his life, Eric valued family, friendship, and hard work. He took pride in the jobs he done and the relationships he built, leaving a lasting impression on coworkers, friends, and family. Never failing to ask you, “How are you doing? “, Do y’all need anything?”, and followed up with “I love ya”, and a smile.
His memory will be cherished for his loyalty, kindness, and the love he had for his friends and family. Eric’s memory will live on through the lives he touched and all who loved him. Eric’s family and friends will always cherish the memories they made together throughout the years and will forever hold him close to their hearts.
Funeral services will be Monday, 1:00pm, February 2, 2026, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Pastor Jordan Whitt officiating. Interment in the Neal Valley Cemetery, West Liberty, KY. Visitation 11 am Monday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
Pallbearers: Channing Davis, Brian Whitt, Zach Whitt, Jonathan Nickell, Cody Phipps, Montana Phipps, Brandon Whitt, and Tyler Cantrell. Honorary pallbearers are all his many family and friends.
