Eva (Howard) Johnson

Eva Johnson, 94, of Springfield (formerly of Fairborn) passed away Monday, January 23, 2023 in Springfield, Ohio. Eva was born Friday, August 17, 1928 in Sandy Hook, Kentucky to the late Bob and Elizabeth Howard. Eva enjoyed being a homemaker, working in her garden, blue grass music (especially Rocky Top and visiting with her friends and family. She was a real people person.

Eva is survived by her daughter, Penny and Jerry Ferguson of Elk Fork, Kentucky; and one granddaughter Megan and Corey Adkins of West Liberty, KY, a son, Jeffrey “Jeff” and Jenny Johnson; grandson Scott and Michelle Adkins of Ezel, Kentucky; and grandsons, Jeffery Ross Johnson, Joshua Johnson, and Jamie Johnson; and four great grandsons and numerous other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by 3 brothers and 3 sisters, her parents, and her beloved husband Edwin B. Johnson, who passed June 18, 1986.   The burial service will be held at 1:00 pm on Monday, January 30, 2023 in the Wrigley Community Cemetery, in Wrigley, Kentucky, with Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY in care of graveside arrangements. Eva's family wishes to thank Donna Curtin, Denise M., Bernie Jines, Annie Risner, Dessi Rose and several neighbors for being especially good friends to Eva.
