Florine (Phipps) Vance

Florine Phipps Vance passed away Saturday, October 18, 2025, at her home after an extended illness at the age of 77. She was born May 19, 1948, in West Liberty, KY, daughter of the late Dillard and Mary Long Phipps. Besides her parents, she was preceded in death by brother Bruce Phipps, sister Magdalene Phipps, and granddaughter-in-law Montana Price. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior and was a retired cafeteria cook at Morgan Central School.

Surviving are her husband of 59 years, Douglas Vance; son, Vernon Vance; and daughter, Angie (Eric) Price. Three grandchildren: Shawn (Melissa) Price, Matthew Price, and Tara (Justin) Harris. Seven great-grandchildren: Madison, Colton, Jackson, Carson, Lucas, Liam, and Tatum. Brother Yondell Phipps, as well as a host of other family and friends.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Wednesday, October 22, 2025, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Bobby Fultz and Bro. Danny Collins officiating. Burial in the Walnut Grove Cemetery, Hwy 191, West Liberty, KY. Visitation is 6:30pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Active pallbearers: Shawn Price, Matthew Price, Justin Harris, David Phipps, Anthony Vance, and Jackie Vance. Honorary pallbearers: Great-grandchildren.
