Franklin Bryan Jackson September 21, 1932-August 25, 2019. 86 years and 338 days.

Franklin Bryan Jackson passed away on August 25, 2019 at Edgewood Estates Rest Home in Frenchburg Kentucky after a lengthy battle with Alzheimer's Disease. Franklin was born in Mize, Kentucky on September 21, 1932 to the late Carl Bryan Jackson and Fannie May Williams Jackson. He was preceded in death by his brother David Sanford Jackson and his son Douglas Mark Jackson.

Franklin grew up in Mize on the family farm and graduated from Ezel Presbyterian High School in 1950. He worked at Armco Steel (now AK Steel) for 30 years retiring on August 31, 1986. During this time; he was able to have four healthy sons whom he took pleasure in their athletic prowess which was a result of their hard work and effort. After retiring, he resumed to work on the farm well into his 80's and credited hard work for his health and long life. He was a Master Mason for over 59 years; beginning at Ezel 550, then to Blackwater 950 and finally Greenville 655.He enjoyed the fraternity and was proud to see each of his son's and grandson join it and took pleasure in the fellowship and charity that came with it.

They were Delbert Carl Jackson, Jerry Franklin Jackson, and David Allen Jackson (Kelly). He had three granddaughters: Jennifer Jackson-Weber (Paul), Joni Michelle Jackson-Cook (Michael) and Sara Rome (Justin). He had one grandson: Jerry Franklin Jackson Jr. (Stacy). He has three great grandsons: Elijah Mark Jackson, Rowan Reid Weber and River Jackson Rome; along with three great granddaughters: Bronwyn Weber, Swayze Rome and Poppy Rome. He is also survived by his former wife Clara Jackson of Mize, KY.

Honorary Pallbearers are Samuel Long, Michael Havens, Eugene Vance, Eskill Cantrell, Asa Vest, Todd Early and Franklin Oldfield. Active Pallbearers include Jerry Franklin Jackson Jr., Michael Cook, Justin Rome, Dana Hammonds, Jeff Hollon and Alan Oldfield.

Funeral services will be 1:pm, Wednesday, August 28, 2019 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Rev. Delbert Coffey officiating. Burial in Jackson Family Cemetery, Mize, KY. Visitation 6:pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY. Masonic Rite 7:00pm Tuesday conducted by Greenville Lodge # 655 F&AM in chapel.
