Our family is heartbroken to announce the passing of our beloved wife, mother, Gramma, and aunt, Garnett Blair Carroll (75), who passed away peacefully at home in Pomona Park, FL, surrounded by her family on January 12, 2026. She was the cornerstone of our family and our source of endless love, strength, kindness, laughter, and affection. Gardening was her passion, and she could always be found planting or picking in her gardens. While she loved to grow flowers and vegetables, her truest love was tending to her family. Garnett was truly the glue of our family and poured her entire essence into the flourishment of it. Her daughters and grandchildren were her pride and joy and her most prized flowers. Beyond being a devoted wife, mother, Gramma, and aunt, Garnett was a dear friend to many. She touched the lives of all who were lucky enough to know her.

Garnett was born January 23, 1950, in West Liberty, KY, and returned back to her family homestead in 2000. Upon retirement, Bob and Garnett moved to Pomona Park, FL. This is where Bob and Garnett celebrated their 50th wedding anniversary with family and friends on March 29, 2025.

Garnett is preceded in death by her father, William Clarence Blair, and mother, Rissie Keeton Blair. She is also preceded by her brothers, Curtis Blair, Clarence Blair Jr., and James Blair (Jimmy), and sisters, Anna Marie Blair Keeton and Bernice Harless.

Garnett is survived by her loving husband, Robert Carroll (Bob) of Pomona Park, FL. Daughter, Jenifer Smith, and husband, Brian, of Welaka, FL. Ashley Miller and husband, Jared, of Canton, GA; granddaughter, Emma Sledge, of Pomona Park, FL; Emory and Lucas Miller of Canton, GA; surviving sister, Mary Flores, of California; and a host of nieces and nephews, including Timothy Keeton and wife, Paige Keeton, of West Liberty, KY, and David Keeton of Oklahoma.

The family will receive friends on January 17, 2026, at 6:30 P.M. at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, KY. The funeral service will be held Sunday, January 18, 2026, at 1:00 P.M. with Sean Meadows speaking, with burial to follow in the Home Place Cemetery, 1783 Dyer Branch, West Liberty, KY.
