Geneva (Fraley) Sherman

Geneva Fraley Sherman,85 of West Liberty, KY passed away Sunday, June 23, 2024 in St. Claire Medical Center, Morehead, KY after an extended illness. She was born July 18, 1938, Moon, KY, daughter of Aster Fraley and Lexie Ferguson Fraley. Geneva was a Christian and she attended New Salem Enterprise Baptist Church, Crockett, KY and Index Community Church, West Liberty, KY. She was a retired hair dresser.

Surviving is her son Keith & Julie Sherman, West Liberty, KY. two grandchildren Cameron Sawchuk, Bend, Oregon, and Olivia Sawchuk, Cincinnati, OH. Brother Odell & Carol Fraley, Owingsville, KY. Son-in-law Byron Brantley Venice, FL.  Two sisters-in-law, Floetta Fraley, Morehead, KY, and Rosa Lee Fraley of West Liberty, KY.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Aster & Lexie Ferguson Fraley, husband Buford Sherman, daughter Sally Sherman Brantley, two brothers Dearl Fraley and Dord Fraley.

Funeral services 1:00pm, Friday, June 28,2024 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Elder Joey Ferguson, Bro. Mike Frisby, Bro. Ricky Keaton, and Bro. David Roseberry Officiating. Interment in the Paint Valley Memorial Gardens, Crockett, KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Active Pallbearers: Cameron Sawchuk, Chris Fraley, Ed Fraley, Greg Fraley, Jimmy Montgomery, Kelvin Barker, and Jake Fraley.  Honorary Pallbearers: Byron Brantley, and Boyd Hill.
