George W. Adkins

George Adkins, age 86 of West Liberty, KY passed away Wednesday December 25, 2024 in the West liberty Nursing & Rehab Center. Born January 19, 1938 in West Liberty, KY son of Richard Adkins and Cleffie Gilliam Adkins. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior 69 years ago. He loved the Lord with all his heart.

Surviving is his seven children, Carmen & Al Johnson, Sandy & Davis Norton, Tena & John Sword, Shenna & Dan Gambill, Tony & Charlene Adkins, Paul Adkins & special friend Tina Marie, Bobby & Melissa Adkins. 24 grandchildren, 31 great-grandchildren, 8 great-great-grandchildren. He was preceded in death by his Richard & Cleffie Gilliam Adkins, his wife Letha Fannin Adkins, daughter Pauline Adkins, grandson Josh Adkins, great grandson Christopher Smith. 3 brothers and 2 sisters.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Monday December 30, 2024 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Elder Jackie Smith and Pastor Rodney McDowell officiating. Burial in the Fannin Cemetery, Crockett, KY Visitation, 6:pm, Sunday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
