Geraldine 'Jewell" (Davis) Bailey

Geraldine "Jewell" Davis Bailey, age 79, West Liberty, KY, passed away Saturday, October 28, 2023, at her home. Born February 19, 1944, in Salyersville, KY, to the late Harrison and Mable Ingmar Davis. She accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as her savior. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother and sister.

Geraldine is survived by six daughters, Margie Brammeier of Okeechobee, FL, Charlotte & Darrell Patrick of Hazard, KY., Betty & Jimmie Benton of Hazard, KY. Shirley Cantrell, Debbie Nickell, and Freda 'Michelle' Bailey of West Liberty, KY. Six sons, Harrison Bailey of Richmond, KY, Charles & Harriet Bailey of Ringgold, GA. Louie & Stephanie Bailey of Hazard, KY,Jimmy Bailey, West Liberty ,KY, Shannon & Heather Bailey, West Liberty, KY, and Fred 'Brian' Bailey of West Liberty, KY. Thirty-seven grandchildren and twenty-four great-grandchildren. She leaves many other family members and friends who will sadly miss her, including a special friend, Linda Cantrell, and a special niece, Freda Plaugher.

In addition to her parents, she was preceded in death by her husband, William G. Bailey; one son Roy Bailey; and one infant child. Two grandsons, T.J.Nickell and Jimmy Monroe Bailey Jr. Six brothers, four sisters, and one half-sister.

Funeral services will be held at 1:00pm, Tuesday, October 31, 2023 in Herald & Stewart & Halsey chapel with Bro. Gary Bailey officiating. Interment in Bailey Cemetery, Old Elam Road, White Oak, KY. Visitation 6:00 pm, Monday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers are Dalton Adkins, Dustin Howard, Shannon Bailey, Brian Bailey, Shaker Coffee, Jimmy Bailey and Matthew Harper.
