Hassel Howard Jr, of Liberty Rd., West Liberty, KY departed this life on Sunday, May 18,2025 in Baptist Health, Lexington, KY after a brief illness at the age of 76 years, 1 month and 9 days. Born in Salyersville, KY on April 9,1949 son of Hassel Howard and Ruie Howard. He was a member of the Charity Freewill Baptist Church, Morehead, KY. He retired from the EKCC, West Liberty, KY.

Surviving is his wife Opal Fern Hackney Howard, three sons, Mike & Felicia Howard, Jamie & Pam Howard, Jeremy & Bri Howard. Four grandchildren, sixteen great-grandchildren. One sister Janie & Don Robbins, one brother Donnie & Beverly Howard. He was preceded in death by his parents Hassel & Ruie Howard, sister Vonda Conley, grandson Jacob Timothy Howard.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Thursday, May 22,2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Robert Kidd & Bro. Jimmy Conley officiating. Interment in West Liberty Memorial Gardens, West Liberty, KY. Visitation, 12:noon Thursday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Mike Howard, Jeremy Howard, Jamie Howard, Wayne Young, Chuck Conley, Donnie Howard.
