Henry Milton Bailey Sr., age 79 years, 4 months, and 15 days, gained his Heavenly Wings and flew to be with the Lord on Sunday, February 24th, 2019 at the Morgan County ARH Hospital in West Liberty, KY, after an extended illness. Departing his beloved wife Chassie Mae Wright- Bailey of 57 years, 11 months, and 2 days. Henry was born Friday, October 13, 1939 to Tom Henry and Oma Ferguson- Bailey in West Liberty, KY. He was proceeded in death by his parents, Tom Henry Bailey and Oma Ferguson- Bailey, a son Tom Henry Bailey; one grandson: Thomas Nathaniel Bailey; five brothers: James, Charles, Clay- Wade, Manford, and John; Two sisters: Ethel Burton and Ruie Walsh and a brother-in-law Billy Joe Barber.

Henry was always a very hard-working man, always trying to find something to fix. He was a Hero to his wife, children, and grandchildren and such an amazing person to look up to. He always knew how to brighten someone’s day and being wrapped in his arms was the safe haven for many people. Above all he was a child of the One True King. Henry gave his heart to the Lord at the Williams Creek Elkfork Community Church where he then became a member and a respected deacon within the church. He was also a respected member of the Elkfork Masonic Lodge 755. Henry always took pride in being a child of God. A firm believer that “For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whosoever believeth in him should not perish, but have everlasting life.” John 3:16. Henry moved to Indiana and worked as a supervisor at Korth Furniture in Warsaw, IN, until moving back to Kentucky in 1976. He then worked as a Heavy Equipment Mechanic in the strip mines.

Henry leaves behind his dearly loved wife Chassie Mae Wright- Bailey. They were married Wednesday, March 22, 1961. He also leaves behind two sons: David Henry (Elizabeth) Bailey and Henry Milton (Vanessa) Bailey Jr; two sisters: Ethel Shearer and Edna Barber; two grandsons: Kyle David (Kirsten) Bailey and Thomas Henry Bailey; Four granddaughters: Heather Nicole (Bryan) Bailey- Bustos, Kimberly Ann (Nathan) Bailey- Legg, Emilie Dawn Bailey (Marshall Jordan), Carrigan Clay Bailey (Gage Finch); five great- grandchildren Issac Henry Horton, Rachel Dawn Lynette Horton, Kayden Tyler Legg, Patrick Owen Legg, and Lucy Mae Bailey; he also leaves behind bonus grandchildren: Christopher Paul (Keri) O’Connor, Ashley Nichole Bryant, and Laura Ann Bryant; four bonus great-grandchildren: Julian Paul O’Connor, Preslee Leigh-Ann Roseberry, Aidan Matthew Ferguson, and Bailee Jay Ferguson; and a host of others who loved and adored him. Henry’s family would also like to thank Dr. Kevin Holbrook and the staff at Morgan County ARH for their love and compassion during this hard time in our lives and allowing us to surround our Husband, Father, and Papaw with love during his last few days.

Pallbearers include Kyle Bailey, Thomas Bailey, Nathan Legg, Bryan Bustos, Marshall Jordan, Gage Finch, Billy Conley, John Conley, and Joseph Blackburn.

Funeral service will be held  1:00pm Thursday, February 28, 2019 at Williams Creek-Elkfork Community Church with Rev. Ernie Wright and Rev. Craig Wright officiating. Burial in Bailey Cemetery, Old house Branch,West Liberty, KY. Visitation will be 6:pm,Wednesday at Williams Creek-Elkfork Community Church, West Liberty, KY. Masonic Rite will be conducted at 7:pm Wednesday by the Elkfork Lodge#755 F&AM.
