Hilda Mae (Helton) Phipps

Hilda Mae Helton Phipps, 70, of Grassy Creek, KY, passed away Thursday, May 30,2024 at her home after an extended illness. Born October 17, 1953, in Salyersville, KY the daughter of Woodrow Helton and Clotene Helton Howard. Hilda retired from World Finance, West Liberty, KY, as the customer service representative. She was a loving wife, mother, sister and grandmother.

Surviving is her loving husband of 50 years, Delbert Phipps, three sons, Tommy Phipps and wife Amanda, Chris Phipps and wife Juanita, James Phipps, all of Grassy Creek, KY. Three sisters, Linda Brown and husband Mack, and Anna Whitt and Ronnie, all of Mt. Sterling, KY Ressie Gullett and husband Danny of Lakeland, FL. Ten grandchildren, Cole Phipps and wife Maria, Ryan Phipps and wife Jessica, Jordan Phipps and wife Heaven, Kentin Phipps, Piper Phipps, Lily Phipps, Clasie Carter, Martial Carter, Maren Carter, and Bruce Carter. Three great-grandchildren, Harper Phipps, Amelia Phipps, and Kayden Phipps.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Woodrow Helton and Clotene (Helton) Howard, and sister Brenda Sue Helton.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm, Tuesday, June 4th.2024 in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Danny Collins officiating. Interment in the Windy Cemetery, Grassy Creek, KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Monday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
