Ivan 'Baccerstick" Gilliam

Ivan "Baccerstick" Gilliam, age 79, West Liberty, KY (lived in Crockett for many years). departed this life Friday, February 13, 2026, at U.K. HealthCare in Lexington, KY. He was born November 17, 1946, in Crockett, KY, to Charlie Ebb Gilliam and Gretta Holbrook Gilliam. He was preceded in death by his parents. Charlie and Gretta Gilliam; his wife, Anna Ruth Wright Gilliam; two infant children, Pricilla Kay and Barry Elbert Gilliam; two brothers, Randall Gilliam and Larry Wayne Gilliam; a twin sister, Iness Keaton (Roger); and two sisters, Charlens Keaton (Herman) and Carol Gilliam.

Surviving are one son, Gary Ivan Gilliam & Mary Lemaster. Two daughters, Patty & Charlie T. Wright, Pam Ross, and fiancé Chris Lykins. Five grandchildren: Adam Cantrell, Kurt Gilliam, Abby & Braden Gullett, Ally Ross and fiancé Kyland Wright, and Autumn & Kyle Stacy. Two great-granddaughters, Kaitlyn Burton and Lydia Gullett. One sister, Kathy Fraley. sister-in-law Kay Gilliam, brother-in-law Gene Gilliam. Host of nieces, nephews, and cousins.

Ivan accepted Jesus Christ as his Lord and Savior. He was a loving husband, father, and grandfather. He was a truck driver and avid talker on his CB radio. He attended the Morgan County Senior Center daily. He had a big heart and a contagious smile.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Friday, February 20, 2026, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, with Elder Gerald Wright and Elder Hershell Wright officiating. Interment in the Wolfenbarger Cemetery, Crockett, KY. Visitation will be held on Thursday at 6:30 p.m. (family 5:30 p.m.) at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty, Kentucky.

Pallbearers include Braden Gullett, Kyle Stacy, Kyland Wright, Brian Smith, Kelly Gilliam, Keith Gilliam, Matthew Wright, Luke Wright, Mark Wright, Chris Lykins, Dale Keaton, and Doug Keaton.
