James Harold Lane

James Harold Lane, 79, of Wellington, KY, passed away Wednesday, August 21,2024 at his home after an extended illness. Born in Pomeroyton, KY on September 28, 1944 son of James Courtney Lane and Etta May Brewer Lane. James was a member of the Pomeroyton Union Church, Wellington, KY, and served in the US Army and was a retired farmer.

Surviving is his loving wife of 55 years Wanda Montgomery Lane, two daughters Michelle Williams (Gary Williams Jr) of Morehead, KY. Kim Lane (Lacy) Of Ezel, KY. One son, James Lane Jr (Julie) of West Liberty, KY. Seven grandchildren, Dustin, Courtney, Lane, Laura, Matt, Juniper, Jubilee. One sister, Willadean Lawson of Campton, KY.

He was preceded in death by his parents James Courtney Lane & Etta May Brewer Lane. Four sisters, Florence Caudill, Betty Blue, Wanda Tolson, Anna Lou Walling. One brother Joe Lewis Lane.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, August 24,2024 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Harry Flannery officiating. Interment in Ezel Cemetery, Ezel, KY with Military graveside honors conducted by Morgan Co DAV Chapter 132. Visitation, 6:pm, Friday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
