James Perkins Obituary

James Randall “Ran” Perkins, age 63, of Trails End Road, Salyersville, KY, passed away Saturday, September 19,2020 at his home after an extended illness. Born April 11, 1957 in Salyersville, Ky to James Robert Perkins and Deloris Benton Perkins. He accepted the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He was a welder for Continental Conveyor and was a farmer and logger.

Surviving are his wife Shelia Oney, father James Robert Perkins of Salyersville,KY. Two daughters Crystal Conley (Curtis) of Louisa, KY. Andrea Ogg of Salyersville,KY. Two sons, John Perkins of Monticello,KY. Andrew Ogg (Martha) of Berea,KY. (6) grandchildren. One sister, Carolyn Sprague (Frankie), two brothers Jeff Perkins (Stephanie), Ronnie Perkins (Sue) all of Salyersville, KY. Two nieces and a host of great nieces and great nephews. He was preceded in death by his mother Deloris Benton Perkins, one infant brother.

COVID-19 regulations will be followed as set forth by Governor Beshear and the CDC. The family request that visitors respect their desire to keep everyone safe by practicing social distancing guidelines and to wear a face covering of some sort.

Funeral services will be 1:30pm, Wednesday, September 23,2020 at Bethlehem To Calvary Apostolic Church with Pastor Johnny Reed officiating. Interment in Perkins Cemetery, Salyersville, KY. Visitation 6:pm Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY, and Visitation 10:30 am Wednesday at Bethlehem To Calvary Apostolic Church, US 460,Salyersville, KY. Pallbearers: Garreth Floyd, Colton Floyd, Dylan Hill, Andrew Benton, Wesley Purcell, David Bailey ,Andrew Ogg, Logan Back.
