Jimmy Clyde Montgomery, age 82, of Peddler Gap Rd, West Liberty, KY departed this life Saturday, August 16,2025 in the Kentucky River Medical Center, Jackson, KY after a brief illness. Born on October 17,1942 (Williams Creek), West Liberty, KY son of Mace Montgomery and Lula E. Daniel Montgomery.

He was a member of Broadway First Church Of God, West Liberty, Kentucky. He was a loving husband, father, grandfather and brother. He was a retired coal miner.

Surviving is his wife Sally E. Thompson Montgomery. Daughter, Debora & Mark Doolittle. Son, Jimmy W. & Cindy Fraley Montgomery. Three grandsons, Matthew & Jessica Doolittle, John W. & Jessica Montgomery, Wesley & Lakan Montgomery. 6 great-grandchildren. Two sisters: Phyllis A. Beasley & Sara K. Cantrell. One brother, Sandy Montgomery. A host of nieces, nephews, great nieces, nephews, great-great nieces & nephews.

He was preceded in death by his parents Mace & Lula E. Daniel Montgomery, 2 sisters Molly Mae Francis & Polly Kathleen Howard, 2 brothers Mason Junior Montgomery and Bill Montgomery.

Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Wednesday, August 20,2025 at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Karl Elam officiating. Burial in the Montgomery Cemetery, Peddler Gap Road, West Liberty, KY. Visitation, 6:00pm, Tuesday at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Patrick Montgomery, Matthew Doolittle, John Montgomery, Wes Montgomery, Josh Montgomery, Hershel Cantrell, John Howard, Jacob Simon.
