Obituary John Michael Whitt, age 77, of Wrigley, Kentucky departed this world, November 28, 2023, surrounded by the love and gratitude of a loving family. He was born in Newton-Le-Willows, Lancaster, England, to the late Roy and Marie (Dixon) Whitt.
John attended the University of Kentucky where he earned a Bachelor of Science Degree in Agriculture Education.
He is survived by his wife of 53 years, Linda Sue Whitt, three (3) children, Stephanie and Chris Lacy, Melissa and Jonathan Lewis, Jonathan and Krista Whitt, and five (5) grandchildren, Michael and Jamie Lacy, Stephen Lacy, Ethan and Abby Lewis, Lydia Lewis, and Rylee Whitt, one brother, Kenneth and Debbie Whitt of West Liberty, and a host of nieces and nephews.
John was a devoted family person; he cherished every moment spent with his loved ones. His unconditional love and support created a foundation of strength and unity that will endure through generations.
John was a cherished member of our community. He was a beacon of generosity and community spirit, leaving a mark on the lives of those fortunate enough to know him.
May we find comfort in the memories of a life well-lived, a legacy of love, and the enduring spirit of a truly remarkable individual.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm, Saturday, December 2,2023 in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel with Bro. Rick Pelfrey and Mr. Jonathan Lett.
Burial: Elliott County Memory Gardens Cemetery, Sandy Hook, Kentucky. Visitation will be 6:00pm,Friday in Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.
Pallbearers: Michael Lacy, Stephen Lacy, Ethan Lewis, Matthew Whitt, Garrett Perry, and Zachary Burton.
