Laquada Alphonsine (Henry) Elam

Laquada Alphonsine Henry Elam, age 91, of West Liberty, KY, passed away on Friday, February 6, 2026, in the West Liberty Nursing Home & Rehab Center after an illness. Born January 2, 1935, in West Liberty, KY, daughter of Willie Henry and Hazel Easterling Henry. She was a retired cook at Morgan County Elementary and an IGA cashier. She was a member of the Bethany Enterprise Baptist Church and attended the Broadway Church of God, West Liberty, KY. She was a caring mother, sister, and grandmother.

Surviving are two daughters, Gail Dewitt (Dale) and Vickie Stevens, of West Liberty, KY; one sister, Madelyn Fisher of Dayton, OH; and three granddaughters, Angie Adams, Sara Mays (Tim), and Heather Whisman. Two grandsons, Brandon Elam (Brittany) and Kyle Stevens (Ashta). seven great-granddaughters: Mackenzie Sexton, Kaitlyn Mays, Addison Cantrell, Nevaeh Fyffe, Lexie Stevens, Peyton Stevens, and Everley Elam. Two great-grandsons, Braydon Mays and Walker Stevens. One great-great-grandson, Bryson Sexton. Host of nieces and nephews.

She was preceded in death by her parents, Willie and Hazel Easterling Henry. son Donnie Elam, and two brothers, James Henry and Talmadge Henry. Four sisters: Phyllis Lewis, Dearl Dykes, Christine Blackburn, and Norma Jean Williams.

Funeral services will be at 1:00pm on Tuesday, February 10, 2026, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Chapel, with Bro. Rick Pelfrey and Bro. Karl Elam officiating. Interment in the Henry Cemetery, Index, KY. Visitation at 11:00 am, Tuesday, at Herald & Stewart & Halsey Funeral Home, West Liberty, KY.

Pallbearers: Dale Dewitt, Kyle Stevens, Brandon Elam, Tim Mays, Braydon Mays, and Johnny Sexton.
