Larry Standiford Smith

Larry Standiford Smith, age 70, of Hodgenville, passed away, Monday, April 29, 2024, at Baptist Health Hardin in Elizabethtown. He was retired from Kentucky State Highway Department, he loved to hunt, fish, garden, his roses, celebrating his children’s birthdays, Larry was a very kind soul who loved all his family dearly and was always willing to lend a helping hand.

He was preceded in death by his wife of 32 years, Vicki Gay Smith; a son, Dillon Smith; his parents, Walter and Snowy Dawson Smith and a brother, Gary Smith. Larry is survived by his wife, Darlene Minder Smith; a daughter, Christina Smith of Culvertown; three sons, Stephen “Stevie” Smith of Bardstown, Dustin Smith and Matt Smith both of Hodgenville; three sisters, Sandy (Scott) Coy of Hodgenville, Vanessa (Jack) Richardson and Betsy (Hardy) Bullock all of New Haven; several aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins.

Funeral service will be held at 2 p.m. Saturday, May 4, at Herald & Stewart &  Halsey Funeral Home in West Liberty with Bro. Paul Keeton officiating. Visitation will be 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Burial will follow in Elijah Smith Cemetery, Hwy 437,West Liberty.KY
